بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

ٱقْرَأْ بِٱسْمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ﴿١﴾

خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ مِنْ عَلَقٍ ﴿٢﴾

عَلَّمَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ مَا لَمْ يَعْلَمْ ﴿٥﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallTeacheth man that which he knew not.

كَلَّآ إِنَّ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ لَيَطْغَىٰٓ ﴿٦﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallNay, but verily man is rebellious

أَن رَّءَاهُ ٱسْتَغْنَىٰٓ ﴿٧﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallThat he thinketh himself independent!

إِنَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ ٱلرُّجْعَىٰٓ ﴿٨﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallLo! unto thy Lord is the return.

أَرَءَيْتَ ٱلَّذِى يَنْهَىٰ ﴿٩﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallHast thou seen him who dissuadeth

عَبْدًا إِذَا صَلَّىٰٓ ﴿١٠﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallA slave when he prayeth?

أَرَءَيْتَ إِن كَانَ عَلَى ٱلْهُدَىٰٓ ﴿١١﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallHast thou seen if he relieth on the guidance (of Allah)

أَوْ أَمَرَ بِٱلتَّقْوَىٰٓ ﴿١٢﴾

أَرَءَيْتَ إِن كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰٓ ﴿١٣﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallHast thou seen if he denieth (Allah's guidance) and is froward?

أَلَمْ يَعْلَم بِأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَرَىٰ ﴿١٤﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallIs he then unaware that Allah seeth?

كَلَّا لَئِن لَّمْ يَنتَهِ لَنَسْفَعًۢا بِٱلنَّاصِيَةِ ﴿١٥﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallNay, but if he cease not We will seize him by the forelock -

نَاصِيَةٍ كَـٰذِبَةٍ خَاطِئَةٍ ﴿١٦﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallThe lying, sinful forelock -

فَلْيَدْعُ نَادِيَهُۥ ﴿١٧﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallThen let him call upon his henchmen!

سَنَدْعُ ٱلزَّبَانِيَةَ ﴿١٨﴾

كَلَّا لَا تُطِعْهُ وَٱسْجُدْ وَٱقْتَرِب ۩ ﴿١٩﴾
