وَإِذَا ٱلْقُبُورُ بُعْثِرَتْ ﴿٤﴾

عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ مَّا قَدَّمَتْ وَأَخَّرَتْ ﴿٥﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallA soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind.

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ مَا غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ ٱلْكَرِيمِ ﴿٦﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallO man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful,

ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكَ فَسَوَّىٰكَ فَعَدَلَكَ ﴿٧﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallWho created thee, then fashioned, then proportioned thee?

فِىٓ أَىِّ صُورَةٍ مَّا شَآءَ رَكَّبَكَ ﴿٨﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallInto whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee.

كَلَّا بَلْ تُكَذِّبُونَ بِٱلدِّينِ ﴿٩﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallNay, but ye deny the Judgment.

وَإِنَّ عَلَيْكُمْ لَحَـٰفِظِينَ ﴿١٠﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallLo! there are above you guardians,

كِرَامًا كَـٰتِبِينَ ﴿١١﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallGenerous and recording,

يَعْلَمُونَ مَا تَفْعَلُونَ ﴿١٢﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallWho know (all) that ye do.

إِنَّ ٱلْأَبْرَارَ لَفِى نَعِيمٍ ﴿١٣﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallLo! the righteous verily will be in delight.

وَإِنَّ ٱلْفُجَّارَ لَفِى جَحِيمٍ ﴿١٤﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallAnd lo! the wicked verily will be in hell;

يَصْلَوْنَهَا يَوْمَ ٱلدِّينِ ﴿١٥﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallThey will burn therein on the Day of Judgment,

وَمَا هُمْ عَنْهَا بِغَآئِبِينَ ﴿١٦﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallAnd will not be absent thence.

وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ ﴿١٧﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallAh, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is!

ثُمَّ مَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ ﴿١٨﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallAgain, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is!

يَوْمَ لَا تَمْلِكُ نَفْسٌ لِّنَفْسٍ شَيْـًٔا ۖ وَٱلْأَمْرُ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلَّهِ ﴿١٩﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallA day on which no soul hath power at all for any (other) soul. The (absolute) command on that day is Allah's.

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

وَيْلٌ لِّلْمُطَفِّفِينَ ﴿١﴾

ٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا ٱكْتَالُوا۟ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ يَسْتَوْفُونَ ﴿٢﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallThose who when they take the measure from mankind demand it full,

وَإِذَا كَالُوهُمْ أَو وَّزَنُوهُمْ يُخْسِرُونَ ﴿٣﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallBut if they measure unto them or weight for them, they cause them loss.

أَلَا يَظُنُّ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ أَنَّهُم مَّبْعُوثُونَ ﴿٤﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallDo such (men) not consider that they will be raised again

لِيَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ ﴿٥﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallUnto an Awful Day,

يَوْمَ يَقُومُ ٱلنَّاسُ لِرَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ ﴿٦﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallThe day when (all) mankind stand before the Lord of the Worlds?

كَلَّآ إِنَّ كِتَـٰبَ ٱلْفُجَّارِ لَفِى سِجِّينٍ ﴿٧﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallNay, but the record of the vile is in Sijjin -

وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا سِجِّينٌ ﴿٨﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallAh! what will convey unto thee what Sijjin is! -

كِتَـٰبٌ مَّرْقُومٌ ﴿٩﴾

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ ﴿١٠﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallWoe unto the repudiators on that day!

ٱلَّذِينَ يُكَذِّبُونَ بِيَوْمِ ٱلدِّينِ ﴿١١﴾

وَمَا يُكَذِّبُ بِهِۦٓ إِلَّا كُلُّ مُعْتَدٍ أَثِيمٍ ﴿١٢﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallWhich none denieth save each criminal transgressor,

إِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِ ءَايَـٰتُنَا قَالَ أَسَـٰطِيرُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ ﴿١٣﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallWho, when thou readest unto him Our revelations, saith: (Mere) fables of the men of old.

كَلَّا ۖ بَلْ ۜ رَانَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يَكْسِبُونَ ﴿١٤﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallNay, but that which they have earned is rust upon their hearts.

كَلَّآ إِنَّهُمْ عَن رَّبِّهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ لَّمَحْجُوبُونَ ﴿١٥﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallNay, but surely on that day they will be covered from (the mercy of) their Lord.

ثُمَّ إِنَّهُمْ لَصَالُوا۟ ٱلْجَحِيمِ ﴿١٦﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallThen lo! they verily will burn in hell,

Now playing ·
ثُمَّ يُقَالُ هَـٰذَا ٱلَّذِى كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ ﴿١٧﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallAnd it will be said (unto them): This is that which ye used to deny.

كَلَّآ إِنَّ كِتَـٰبَ ٱلْأَبْرَارِ لَفِى عِلِّيِّينَ ﴿١٨﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallNay, but the record of the righteous is in 'Illiyin -

وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا عِلِّيُّونَ ﴿١٩﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallAh, what will convey unto thee what 'Illiyin is! -

يَشْهَدُهُ ٱلْمُقَرَّبُونَ ﴿٢١﴾
